The Skills That Last a Lifetime—Beyond the Easel

Transferable Skill

How Art Builds It

Resilience

In art, there are no mistakes, only happy accidents! When a project doesn't go quite right, your child learns to fix it, try again, and not get frustrated. This builds the emotional confidence to handle challenges in every part of their life.

Problem Solving

Every project is a chance to problem-solve! Your child learns to look past the first answer and find multiple clever solutions, giving them the confidence to handle tricky homework or big life obstacles without getting frustrated.

Collaboration

Working on shared projects, they learn to listen, communicate ideas, and cheer on their teammates, building the essential teamwork skills for school and beyond.

Fine Motor Mastery

Detailed work with brushes, clay, and tools sharpens their hand-eye coordination and dexterity, supporting better handwriting and future technical skills.

I'm Proud to Welcome Families from Woodford, South Woodford, Highams Park, Chingford, Buckhurst Hill and surrounding areas.

FAQs

How do I secure my child’s spot?

Your spot is secured immediately by processing the £35 non-refundable deposit on this page. Once paid, you are fully enrolled, and the spot is held exclusively for your child.

What is the pricing structure?

The total Spring Term fee is £187 (Wednesday Premium Pickup) or £165 (Thursday/Friday Standard Drop-Off). The £35 deposit is applied toward this total, with the remaining balance due in mid-December.

What happens after I book?

You will immediately receive a confirmation email. We will then send a separate email in mid-December with a direct link and final instructions to pay the remaining balance and confirm all January logistics.

What is the club duration?

The duration depends on whether is a pick up or drop off session:

(Pickup): 1 hour 45 minutes (105 mins)

(Drop-off): 1 hour (60 mins)

Can we join mid-term?

Yes, if a space is available.
If the session you want is full, simply join the waiting list and I’ll contact you as soon as a spot opens.

What happens if we miss a session?

Your child’s spot remains reserved.
Unfortunately we can’t offer refunds or credits for missed sessions, as your child’s place is held for them every week.

Does my child need to bring a snack?

Yes, please! We ask that you pack a small snack for your child to eat right as they arrive at the club. This helps them transition from the school day, quickly boost their energy, and ensures they can focus fully on their creativity. We are a NUT FREE club!

Where do I drop off and collect my child?

All sessions (including Wednesday pick-up drop-off) end at:
📍 Becket Centre, 557–559 High Rd, Woodford Green IG8 0SG
Collection is at 5:00pm.

What if my child has allergies or medical needs?

Just let me know when you join.
You can share any allergy or medical info during the booking process. I’m very careful with materials and snacks, and will always follow your child’s needs.

How quickly do spaces fill?

Very quickly — especially once shared in local WhatsApp and Facebook groups.
We keep groups intentionally small (max 15) to keep the environment calm, cosy and creative.

If your child would love this, joining sooner helps you secure a spot.

Do you offer a sibling discount?

Yes! We want to support families with more than one budding artist. We offer a 10% discount on the term rate for the second enrolled child. Please contact us after securing your first spot for details on how to apply the discount.

What materials will my child need to bring to the class?

Nothing at all! We provide all materials—from high-quality paper and paints to sculpting clay and specialised tools—to keep the process frictionless for you. We manage the mess and the supply list so you don't have to.

My child thinks they aren't "good" at art. Is this suitable for them?

Yes, this is the perfect place for them! We prioritize creative confidence and persistence over perfection. We create a non-judgmental, fun environment where the primary lesson is that mistakes are opportunities, helping shy or hesitant children find their voice and build emotional resilience.

What if my child is shy or nervous?

That’s completely okay.
Our space is calm, gentle and cosy — perfect for children who need time to warm up. I always take things slowly and make sure every child feels safe and included.

Is the curriculum designed for a full year of progression?

Yes. Our program is a progressive, three-term journey (Term 1: Foundations, Term 2: Exploration, Term 3: Image Makers that builds on skills throughout the year, culminating in the Annual Young Artists' Exhibition where their year of work is celebrated.

What is the ultimate goal of the Art Club?

The goal is dual: to teach your child essential transferable life skills (problem-solving, focus, collaboration) using art as the medium, and to prepare them to explore the world as confident creative thinkers.

What are your qualifications, and are you DBS checked?

I have a strong art background, holding a Degree in Photography, a formal Teaching Qualification, and extensive experience in teaching creative subjects. Crucially, I’m fully DBS-checked, safeguarding trained, insured and experienced working with children. Safety and emotional wellbeing are at the centre of everything we do.

Is the environment suitable for children who get overwhelmed easily?

Yes — this club is designed for gentle, calm, creative time.
Small groups (max 15), quiet atmosphere, patient guidance — perfect for sensitive or easily overwhelmed children.

Don't miss out!

Secure your child's place for the January term!
