I help busy mums with young children effortlessly capture beautiful, authentic moments using just their smartphones. With simple, quick methods designed for even the most sleep-deprived, camera-shy beginners, you’ll never have to look back at another blurred memory.

Photography has always been my passion. I started my journey by studying photography at university, eager to learn everything I could about capturing life’s moments. It became more than a career for me, it became a way to document stories and create lasting memories.

But my perspective shifted deeply when my dad passed away from cancer. His sudden loss made me realise just how precious and fleeting life can be, and how much power there is in a single image to bring comfort, connection, and a flood of memories.

When I became a mum, my camera naturally turned to my children. Watching them grow so quickly—each milestone, every messy, uncooperative moment—I felt a renewed urgency to freeze these fleeting moments in time. Photography became a way for me to preserve the magic of their childhood, even in the chaos.

Then the pandemic hit, and two years of lockdown kept us all apart from family, amplifying just how much relationships and connections matter. During that time, I found myself turning to the photos I’d taken—not just as memories, but as lifelines to the people we love, especially when we couldn’t be together. Those photos brought comfort, reminding me of what’s truly important.

Through all of this, I realised I wanted to share what I’d learned, both as a photographer and a mum, with other mums who, like me, want to capture their family’s stories in all their messy, beautiful, realness.
I started Mums Photo Academy to empower other mums to stop time, even just for a moment, and preserve their families' stories. Because I know how quickly those moments slip by, and how powerful it can be to look back at them when life feels overwhelming.
